Gene Howe Park


Project renovates Glenwood Park to include installation of splash pad, walkways, covered seating, and landscaping

Community Improvement Inspector


Project funds salary and operating cost of one Community Improvement Inspector to work neighborhood services in the CDBG Target Area.

Demolition and Clearance


Project will fund the removal of substandard vacant structures condemned by the City Commission as a public hazard.

Jan Werner Adult Day Care


Project will provide adult daycare services for low income elderly and disabled persons at reduced cost.

Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle – Interfaith Hunger Project


Project will provide food at no cost to elderly and disabled clients through a food pantry located at Guyon Saunders Resource Center, sustaining client independence by allowing them to select their own groceries.

Transportation for the Homeless


Project will provide city bus tickets to 8 homeless shelters to assist homeless persons with transportation. Guyon Saunders Homeless Dayroom – Dayroom Staff $10,997 Project will fund staff salary at the Guyon Saunders Homeless Dayroom

PRPC – Childcare Match 


Project will fund lower cost childcare services to low and moderate income households. Funds will be matched by Texas Workforce Commission.



Project will provide noon meals to homebound elderly and disabled persons at no cost.

Wesley Community Center – Wrestling Program


Project will fund salary for wrestling coach to teach wrestling techniques and life skills to youth.

Emergency Repair Grants


Program will provide grants to low income homeowners for repair of hazardous conditions in their homes.

Minor Housing Rehabilitation Assistance


Project will provide financial assistance to low income homeowners for moderate renovations of their homes.

Rehabilitation Support Administration


Project will fund salary and operational support for the Rehab Inspector I and II who provide the inspection and construction oversight services for the CDBG and HOME housing activities.

Program Management


Project will fund salary and operational support for the management and administration of the CDBG and HOME programs. Staff include Community Development Administrator, Program Coordinator, Administrative Technician, and Administrative Assistant.

Salvation Army Warming Up Project


Project will fund renovations of commercial kitchen at The Salvation Army Emergency Shelter.

Family Support Services


Project will fund curriculum and materials for the Strengthening Families Program at Family Support Services.
