Amarillo, TX – The 2017 Summer Lunch Program will kick-off on Monday, June 5 at more than 50 sites throughout the City of Amarillo including schools, city parks, and community centers. The Summer Lunch Program provides free lunch meals to any child with no associated cost or registration required at any of these sites and is available to any child under 18 years-of-age in need of a lunchtime meal.
The Summer Lunch Program is administered by the City of Amarillo and is funded through the Texas Department of Agriculture and seeks to meet the needs of the students in Amarillo who qualify for free and reduced lunch during the school year who may experience food insecurity during the summer months when school is out.
